We are pleased to announce that after 2 years in the making, El Rahelet has just entered into its final “self-operating” stage. By linking under the umbrella of local NGO, Social Support Society, headed by Melek Nimer, and assigning a new Director of Operations, Lina Khoury, El Rahelet can now officially self-run.
Though this means that this blog will discontinue, the project certainly doesn’t – as all 5 refugee camps continue their outings via our new partnership with Social Support Society. We still urge you to use this blog, browse the archives, and share with your friends the different types of activities we facilitate for these children. In order for the program to continue, grow and expand, in self-operation, we seek financial support. We hope you can help.
